Worried about your child's online safety?
As you know, many kids are confident that they know how to be safe online. However, there are a few reasons kids are often more at risk. They may not always think about the consequences of their actions, which can cause them to share too much information about themselves. You can help keep your kids safe by talking to them about their Internet use, teaching them about online dangers, and learning everything you can about the Internet so you can make informed decisions.
In order to help parents, teachers and early childhood educators learn more about online safety and how to better protect children from online predators, Connexions Resource Centre has put together a list of programs and online resources provided by various organizations including The Canadian Centre for Child Protection, a registered charitable organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children. Their goal is to reduce child victimization by providing programs and services to Canadians through public awareness activities, four national programs and various resources for children of all ages.
