Junior Pizza Day has been a long-time tradition at Lord Aylmer, and it is certainly a day that our kids always look forward to when their tummies begin to rumble! So this past Friday, we visited the Junior Campus to find out what the fuss was all about- it is just pizza after all! But when we captured those little smiles on camera and all the fun had by our kid and parent volunteers and of course by our school staff- we just had to share it with you all!
Days like these are so important to our school community because sharing a meal in a relaxed atmosphere gives all of us the time to just connect with one another! And this was not just restricted to our students and teachers, but to the parent volunteers who got to build relationships with one another, their children's teachers, the support staff and even their own children within the context of their school life.
And our volunteer mom's certainly got to enjoy their morning at Lord Aylmer as it gave them the opportunity to connect with the school staff and teachers, as well as visit with some of the children in their classrooms. Even our kiddies got to join the fun! They helped the mom's and staff by bringing the pizza to their fellow classmates-and even made sure that their friends, who were enjoying their special lunch-time activities, didn't miss out on the pizza fun!
We even got a few shots of our Pizza Pizza delivery guy and of course of our very own Ms. Shirley, who helped get everyone organized from start to finish, and of our Ms. Kate who helped distribute pizza to the kids in the classrooms.
For such a simple lunch-time activity, it brought tons of smiles and cheers from our students who simply LOVED their pizza!! And best of all, the funds raised through our Junior Pizza Day goes right back into our kids and school.
A huge thank you goes out to our volunteer mom's and kids, as well as our Ms. Shirley and Ms. Kate!!
Enjoy the pics!
